Why I became a REALTOR?
In 2004, I asked the Lord to show me a clear direction about my career. Previously, I would pray and then follow what felt good to me and pursued that. This time it was different. I had reached a point in my life where I longed to hear God’s voice only. I was ready to obey and follow what He had planned for me. I was unaware of what I might have to face in order to be obedient and have a child like faith of total trust in the Lord.
The Lord has graciously shown me visions and dreams ever since I became a child of God. As I was praying this time about my career, the Lord spoke to me in my dreams. The Holy Spirit said- “You are not supposed to be working for someone else, but you will start your own business.” The next day I remembered the dream very clearly, and I asked the Lord, “You said, I am supposed to start a business, but tell me what do you have in mind because there are many businesses, speak to me clearly? As my eyes were closed I saw different kind of houses. I knew at that moment that the Lord wanted me in the Real Estate Business.
The Lord said not to share this information with anyone. He gave me a word how Zachariah the priest’s lips were sealed before the birth of his son, John. I had to keep quiet for a year.
In 2005 I enrolled at Champions School of Real Estate. When I was ready to take my exam, I found out that my father had a heart attack. Yet my commitment to the Lord was to obey only what He says even during this difficult situation. The Lord spoke to me from the word, “Be still and know that I am the Lord.” I knew I had to stay still and not make any moves and no matter what I was facing. It was the hardest moment of my life to stay focused on preparing for my exams while my father was on his death bed. However, most importantly, I wanted to obey my Lord with nothing breaking my commitment to him.
I was very anxious about the well being of my father. I woke up early one morning and spoke to The Lord, “My heart is so heavy I can’t even pray, but you know my heart. Please give me some peace and rest.” He spoke to me that morning from Psalms 119. Later, the Lord spoke to me in my sleep saying “I have known you since your mother’s womb.” He also spoke a number to me three times in my mother tongue. I said, “No, No, No” and He said, “Yes,Yes,Yes. I have a job for you, and you are going to do My Ministry.”
Later on that week I took my exams. The score on my exam was the same number He spoke to me in my dream earlier that week. I was so excited to personally experience the hand of God in my life.
Later, I heard my father passed away and was devastated especially since I was a day late for the funeral. However, the Lord spoke to me softly, “Even though your earthly father has left you, but your heavenly father will never leave you or forsake you.” When the Lord spoke to me in such a way, I felt the heavy weight lifted off and no one could have comforted me in such a way as the Lord.
My calling is market place ministry. I would like to encourage you all with whatever your talents or gifts are, use it to benefit others and see how God opens your doors to make a better place on this earth
Never get discouraged and disappointed by what others say. Even if others have disappointed you or if you have even disappointed others, God still loves you. Stay quiet in His presence and find out what God’s plan is in your life. Hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t stop, keep moving.
Where I am at this point of my life is a reflection of the God’s grace. During this time of economic recession, the Lord has sustained me in this business- 95% of my clients which includes international clients I have never met them before.
During the initial stages of the business, the Lord promised that He would send the clients and the resources and spoke to me from Isaiah. To this day, I am experiencing His promises being fulfilled in my daily life. He also teaches me how to work on each transaction. He alone is my Provider, Sustainer, and ADVOCATE (Especially since I do not advertise, it is directly led by the Holy Spirit).
